Compassion, confidence and caring

  1. Your comments on our judgmental nature reminded me of a incident that happened to me. I was feeling depressed and starting talking to a homeless guy who I had seen pan handling at our bus depot. I had notice previously that he has always treated me with respect even if I said that I couldn’t spare any money at that time. He and I was sitting outside on a dark rainy night. I complained amount my life. He shared some of his struggles in an effort to show me that I am doing okay compared to him. Later, I was getting on a bus and the bus driver asked me if he had been bothering me. I can’t remember what I said. I was rather surprised that she automatically assumed that he was bothering me when all she could have seen was us sitting in parking lot talking.
